Vintage from the 1980s
This General Electric personal cassette player is model 3-5273A from the early 1980's. This was an early competitor of the Walkman, it has a cassette player as well as AM/FM. It takes four AA batteries, it is made to be used with headphones and does not have a speaker. There is a spot to plug in headphones and a spot for plugging into a 6V DC cord to use without batteries. It has dials for volume and for tuning in to radio stations. This nice little retro stereo is about 6.25 inches by 4 inches, The radio does work with headphones - the cassette player runs and fast forward-rewind works when tested with batteries but I haven't tried an actual cassette in it. Headphones and electric cord not included.
