Three Andersen windows are double glazed - Perma-Shield Casement (1966–1995). All are five feet tall. Two are six feet wide (with 3 casements each). One is eight feet wide (with 4 opening-casements).
Wood is "old growth" high quality. 45 years old, the windows have always been protected by overhangs and face south.
Cranks and locks work well. All screens are excellent and have usually been stored inside.
The wood interior is stained light-oak.
Maintenance, by original owners:
I have periodically cleaned and lubricated the mechanisms, all of which work.
I have periodically applied Armorall (UV protection) to the white vinyl parts. The vinyl has stiffened with time, but the windows seal well and keep out exterior sounds.
Important: The windows will be removed intact and carefully on March 23rd. Local Pickup Only on March 23 or in the week thereafter. Cash - Windows will be purchased in "as is condition" and there will be no returns.
Important: $200 each for six-foot, $300 for the eight-foot, $600 for all three together.
Because casement windows are hinged on one side and swing outward to open fully, they give maximum ventilation and clear views. Use for greenhouses, cold frames, and sheds. Old Andersen casement windows are commonly sought for creative DIY projects, functional home furniture like room dividers, and outdoor garden structures.
