condition: good
Solid Oak Wardrobe / Armoire taken out of a University of Nebraska dormitory room when the dormitory was remodeled.

This was a custom made wardrobe with quality craftsmanship that is impossible to find now. Made of select solid oak. No knots.

The left side is for hanging clothes. The oak door slides (handle on each side) to cover either side. Three solid oak drawers on the right (with perfectly fit dovetail joints on the drawer corners). Each drawer slides easily and smoothly on heavy duty, stainless steel ball bearing drawer slides. Heavy duty comparable slides cost $40 to $100 per set.

One oak shelf above the drawers. The solid oak top (it came apart along a seam of glued oak) needs to be re-glued. Some of the cabinet has been sanded to get it ready to be refinished. It never had a stain put on it, so is ideal to apply any stain color. There is an oak top and bottom rail for sliding the door from side to side. Both of those are currently off. I have both of them but don't know where the lower one is. It got separated in a household move. Buyer may have to make another one if I cannot locate it. Even though it needs some repairs, those are relatively easy. If one was to build one like it with the same quality oak and drawer slides, just the materials would be 2-3 times this price.

Sides, top, middle vertical divider, bottom and drawers are all solid oak. Drawers have heavy duty, ball bearing slides. The top drawer locks, but I do not have a key.

This piece is mostly solid oak, so is heavy and would require two to move.

If interested, please provide a telephone number. I will call you to set a time to see it.

Thanks for your interest.
